DHS Secretary Kristi Noem Warns of Rising, Coordinated Threats Against ICE Officers

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem says intelligence shows a growing, organized threat targeting ICE officers and agents. According to Noem, groups are recruiting, sharing officers’ photos within their networks, and escalating from harassment to planned, violent attacks — including ambushes.

Noem described a chilling incentive structure: alleged bounties of about $2,000 for kidnapping and $10,000 for killing specific officers. She said some perpetrators have circulated photos of individual officers and encouraged violence against them.

In response, the Department has assigned protective details to at-risk personnel and adjusted some operations to reduce exposure while investigations continue. Noem emphasized these actions go beyond lawful protest, characterizing the behavior as coordinated solicitations of violence rather than expressions of dissent.

“No one should be targeted for doing their job,” she said, urging vigilance and continued protective measures for those named in these threats.
