In the aftermath of her husband Charlie Kirk’s tragic assassination, Erika Kirk has been offering the public tender glimpses into their family life. On Friday, she shared a touching video that quickly went viral, showing Charlie in a quiet, joyful moment: teaching their young daughter the fundamentals of physics.
Learning Newton’s Laws at the Kitchen Table
The video, now with over 1.3 million likes, captures the Turning Point USA founder in a down-to-earth moment — sitting at the kitchen table with his daughter, using her sippy cup and a pair of sunglasses to illustrate Newton’s three laws of motion.
“See, that’s the problem,” Charlie says with a smile as his daughter prepares to drop her cup. “You keep thinking when you drop it, it comes back up — but it doesn’t, okay?”
With patience and humor, he walks her through the basics: an object at rest stays at rest, every action has an equal and opposite reaction, and force equals mass times acceleration. “Any questions?” he asks playfully at the end.
A Loving Tribute from Erika
Erika posted the video with a heartfelt caption:
“My favorite memories will forever be us raising our babies together. I love you, Charlie Kirk. Tell Sir Isaac Newton that GG is ready for her quiz.”
The moment struck a deep chord online, reminding viewers that beyond the fiery political figure was a husband and father deeply invested in his family.
Honoring Charlie’s Memory
Charlie Kirk, 31, was killed during a debate event at Utah Valley University on September 10. He leaves behind Erika and their two young children, whose names have not been shared publicly.
In the weeks since his death, Erika has shared several personal memories, revealing a side of Charlie not often seen — a man who cherished quiet time with his kids as much as he cared about his work.
A Legacy That Reaches Beyond Politics
The video resonated widely, with many viewers commenting on the rare, intimate look at Charlie Kirk’s life outside of politics. It showed a softer, more human side — a father gently explaining science to his toddler using everyday objects.
For Erika, the memory is part of a much larger picture of love, family, and shared moments.
“Raising our babies with you,” she wrote, “will forever be my favorite memory.”
